Exciting Leadership Changes at Dimmick & Penn Kidder Libraries!

As we prepare for a brand-new chapter, the Board of Directors has some bittersweet but incredibly exciting news to share with our community.
First, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to Kara Edmonds. Kara has served faithfully as our Librarian, transforming our spaces with vibrant children’s programming, beautiful art displays, reading groups, and essential technology upgrades. Please join us in thanking Kara for her dedicated service and wishing her the absolute best as she ventures into her next chapter!
Looking forward, we are thrilled to introduce our new leadership team:

Welcome Victoria Ryan-Price, Library Director! Victoria comes to us with a Master of Library Science and an exceptional background in library management. Having previously served as a Library Director and most recently as Head of Technical Services at the Scranton Public Library, she brings a wealth of expertise in community programming, grants, and operational excellence. We are delighted to welcome her back to the Director’s seat!

Congratulations to Megan Thornborrow, Assistant Director! A familiar and beloved face at our libraries, Megan is being promoted to our newly created Assistant Director position! Currently pursuing her degree at Widener University, Megan’s incredible energy, passion for programming, and daily dedication to our patrons make her the perfect leader to step into this new role.
With Victoria and Megan at the helm, our two branches are positioned for a bright, innovative, and stable future. Stop by Monday June 15 for coffee (or any time) to say thank you to Kara, and after the 22nd to welcome Victoria, and congratulate Megan!
